The Friday Grab Bag - ACD Gameday 2016

I got over to the ACD Gamesday 2016 yesterday to attend some seminars, catch up with some old friends, and demo some great games old and new.  Thanks to Jason from Lake Geneva Games  (the LGG Facebook page is here). for giving me the opportunity to go while he held down the fort at LGG with Jake and Caroline.  You can find more of my pics from the show in my Facebook albums here.

They had a good crowd at the show and I was glad to catch up with my buddy Curt from Games Plus in particular.

It's frightening how big Magic has become!

Sunday Funnies - Death, Dismemberment, & Beheadings

As gamers, we watch a lot of our favorite characters and villains get killed on television and the big screen in many, many ways.  We sometimes chuckle about it, which is probably wrong to do.  Today is one of those days.  To start us off, The Nerdist had a fine article here recently on how to build your own Star Wars Severed Limbs collection though I dug around a bit online and found a complete one to picture for this blog post.

Of course, to get the full picture, you really need to go to starwars.wikia.com and the entry on Dismemberment which recounts the total severity of lost limbs here.

Finally, what discussion of genre fiction would be complete on the subject without "A Brief History of Beheadings on ‘Game of Thrones’" here.
